 | Stock photography is imagery that we create and submit to agencies on spec (there is no guarantee they will be accepted). If they are accepted, they are used for things like brochures, newsletters and websites to depict concepts in modern life.
You will be required to sign a model release and you should note that the release includes a clause that states your images will not be used for unflattering or defamatory purposes.
In general, we will be setting up individual shots that will include either you alone as the subject or you with a group of other people. Some things we typically shoot are people talking, eating and socializing, exercise, reading, at work, cooking, shopping etc. In general, each shot takes 20 to 30 minutes and there may be times when you are not included in a shot so, you can relax read a book, listen to an Ipod or socialize with others on set.
Our shoots are self funded as well which means that we pay for the expense of the entire shoot ourselves and hope to recover the expense from future sales.
We pay $15 per hour, cash, on the day of the shoot from the time you arrive on set until the time you leave. If you are building a portfolio for yourself, we would be happy to provide images in lieu of payment. If you choose this option, we will supply you with a CD or download link of selected images, sized 1200 pixels at 72 DPI within 30 days of the shoot. The images are for your personal promotional use only and are not licensed for resale or third party assignment. Please note, we are not able to supply images if you choose to be paid cash.
Hair and Make up is generally provided on set and we will ask you to bring 3 to 5 different outfits specific to whatever we are shooting.Please note that outfits you bring must not have any large logos or identifiable graphics. We prefer solid patterns and bright colors. The more current and hip the outfits, the better.
